The Bachelor of Business (Commercial Law) is a unique program in South Australia that allows students to combine business and managerial skills with legal knowledge. This degree is designed to equip business people with a range of skills required in commercial practice, rather than provide a vehicle for a career in practising law.

While graduates are not able to work as lawyers they meet employers’ increasing need for people with knowledge of business law. This program is particularly suitable for students who wish to pursue a career in paralegal work, as well as those interested in giving specialist commercial advice to firms and businesses.

This program provides students with a working knowledge of the legal requirements of business, covering areas such as information technology, employment relations, environmental regulation and corporate governance.

Double Degree with Commerce

The Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Business (Commercial Law) double degree provides students with the unique opportunity to combine two programs, the only combination of its type offered in South Australia.

This program provides a professional education to those interested in combining the knowledge and skills of financial reporting with a legal education focusing on business and trade practice law. While graduates do not practice as lawyers, they meet the increasing need for specialists with knowledge of the legal implications and requirements of business.

By combining those skills with a working knowledge of the legal implications and requirements of business, including areas of information technology, workplace relations, environmental regulation and corporate governance, this program increases employment opportunities in a very competitive industry.
