Accounting Forum

Background
Launched in mid 1975s, Accounting Forum is a refereed business journal published by the School of Commerce, University of South Australia. With a considerable time frame from establishment, the journal has gained recognition at both national and international level.

Position

Accounting Forum is positioned to be a quality journal precipitating a greater understanding of the ways in which business works in the global environment. In addition, it provides a locale for intellectual exchange of academic research in business fields, especially in the accounting profession.

Key Journal Audiences

Issued quarterly, the Accounting Forum has a multi-dimensional content which covers current issues in accounting, business finance, and related fields.

The main areas of interest are:

  3. Financial Accounting
  4. Finance and Accounting Education
  5. Management Accounting
  6. Small Business
  7. Social and Environment Accounting
  8. Taxation

Special issues are published once or twice a year, featuring unique areas of business. These special issues are edited in conjunction with the general Editors.

Editorial Board and Background

Accounting Forum has two Joint Editors: Prof Glen Lehman and Prof Tony Tinker and an International Editorial Advisory Board which comprises of a number of internationally recognised accounting academics.

Golden page award winner 2002About the Award
[Extract from Emerald Management Review]

The Golden Page Awards are presented annually at a prestigious award ceremony to those few, outstanding management periodicals that consistently deliver excellent articles.

Awards are made for: Best Research Implications; Practical Usability of Research (new for 2002); Managerial Application (new for 2002); Most Original Content; General Readability; and Readability of Research (new for 2002) across all major management disciplines. To be eligible for a Golden Page Award, a title must first be selected to be included within the Accredited Journal Coverage List by the Accreditation Board; every published article is then reviewed by our specialist reviewers and is awarded one, two or three stars for each category; at the end of each year, scores are aggregated and published in the Management Journal Content Guide; the top journal in each category/section receives the prestigious Golden Page Award.
