World Fire and Police Games 2007, Adelaide
The
School of Communication, is proud to be involved with the 2007 World Fire
and Police Games, held in Adelaide in March.
Film and video students from the Bachelor of Media Arts captured events and interviews as the games progressed, enabling staff and students to enjoy a 'real life' experience in conjunction with their study programs. Graduates and students from the Journalism program also produced daily news bulletins for the games.
Students have commented on how their confidence has grown in contributing to the games in this way. The school is looking forward to other opportunities to engage students in meaningful work experience in the future.
