Perspectives on the nature, prevalence and consequences of bullying

| This workshop will examine issues related to bullying in
schools and the workplace. It will outline the nature, prevalence and consequences of
bullying in these contexts and suggest ways in which the problem can be addressed.
Subsequently the presenters will provide opportunities for group discussion of the
appropriateness and practicalities of specific proposals for dealing with bullying. |

| Dr Ken Rigby is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the
University of South Australia.. He has published widely in the area of bullying. His book,
Bullying in Schools and what to do about it, published in Australia (1996), England (1997)
and Canada (1998) is an authoritative research-based text. He consults regularly with
schools, and provides seminars and workshops nationally and internationally |
