Adelaide is home to three universities. This conference is being hosted by the University of South Australia. The other two are the University of Adelaide and the Flinders University of South Australia.

Popular places to visit near Adelaide include Kangaroo island and Cleland Wildlife Park (for Australian wildlife), the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, and the Clare Valley (winegrowing areas),  the picturesque Adelaide Hills, Victor Harbor (for whale-watching, mostly in winter), and the Murray River.
