Beyond the Screen: National Conference of the Australian Screen Production Education and Research Association

The 2009 ASPERA National Conference, Beyond the Screen, aims to explore the complexities of contemporary screen production education and research practice. Combining industry panels, academic presentations, papers and screenings, Beyond the Screen will address a diverse range of topics: from industry concerns, including funding and copyright practicalities, potential agendas for innovation and research, and increased industry linkage, to educational issues, such as creative exegeses, ALTC projects, new research models and pedagogical challenges in a digital media environment.

Virtual Spaces, Computer Graphics and Holography

Media Arts invites you to attend a seminar with staff and students from Nakajima Laboratory at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. The Nakajima Laboratory at the Tokyo Institute of Technology is highly regarded for its research into image recognition, image analysis and image synthesis. This work includes explorations of computer generated virtual objects, computer animation, virtual human form, and representation of natural phenomena and living organisms through the computer.
