Transnational Programs

The School of Communication, International Studies and Languages has a strong focus on international education and offers a dynamic and innovative approach to teaching and learning.

Over 100 international students study at the School of Communication, International Studies and Languages at the University of South Australia in Adelaide, while academic staff teach offshore programs in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Our transnational programs feature:

 

Bachelor of Arts (Communication and Media Management)

The Bachelor of Arts (Communication and Media Management) is offered in conjunction with the Asia Pacific Management Institute in Singapore and through Hong Kong Baptist University, SCE in Hong Kong and provides an opportunity to become involved in the vital communication issues of our time and pathways to advancement in the communication and media industries.

Bachelor of Arts (International Studies)

The Bachelor of Arts (International Studies) - Transnational is a top-up degree jointly offered by the School of Continuing and Professional Education, Hong Kong and the School of Communication, International Studies and Languages (University of South Australia). The program combines advanced language studies in Chinese, Japanese and French with complementary studies in world affairs, regional and cross-cultural studies . It prepares students for professional careers which require international perspectives such as international affairs, international divisions of business firms and government agencies, journalism, international aid organisations, education, trade and tourism.

Bachelor of Media Arts

The Bachelor of Media Arts is offered in conjunction with the Asia Pacific Management Institute in Singapore and aims to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to design and communicate information on a number of multimedia platforms together with an understanding of the sociological and cultural significance of new communication technologies.

Master of Arts (Communication Management)

The Master of Arts (Communication Management) is offered by the University of South Australia in conjunction with the Asia Pacific Management Institute in Singapore and Hong Kong, and KDU College in Malaysia and is designed to provide pathways to advancement in the communication and media industries. The program is offered as an intensive five term program with modules clustered in five inter-related themes. Individual courses are given an international focus from the Asia-Pacific perspective, and are conducted by academic staff from the School and its international associates.
