Pathways
Due to competitive TER entry scores and limited places, at times some students may find that they were not accepted into their first preference - this isn't something just at UniSA, but Universities across Australia. However, to give you some assistance in getting in to UniSA, you can follow an alternate pathway to get further qualifications before applying for your preferred program again.
The School of Communication, International Studies and Languages has a close relationship with SAIBT and TAFE SA to ensure students who complete a qualification at one of these institutions can use their award as credit towards a UniSA program. For example, successful completion of the 1 year Diploma of Arts from SAIBT will give you 8 courses credit in most School of Communication undergraduate programs, the equivalent of 1 year study. So while gaining further qualifications, you can also earn credit towards a Bachelors degree from UniSA.
Please note, that credit granted for each qualification from an external institution to UniSA may change from time to time, and the above example was correct at the time of writing. Formal credit application procedures must be followed when accepted into the University of South Australia. For further details, contact one of our Program Support Officers who can assist you with further information on your specific pathway into UniSA, or download the UniSA brochure http://www.unisa.edu.au/future/advisers/pathwaystafe.pdf
