Program Enrolment Advice Sessions (Wednesday 1 February 2012)

As a commencing student in the School of Communication, International Studies and Languages based at Magill Campus, come and join us for your Program Enrolment Advice Sessions (PEAS).

Including presentations from Campus Central and the Learning and teaching Unit
10:30am - 11:00am D1-20   Planning for your future career
Highlighting to students the value of career planning, along with opportunities to drive career direction (e.g. sub-majors, electives, associate degree), and options in accessing career support (e.g. consultations, workshops)
11:00am - 11.15am D1-20 Learn about the Associate Degree in Languages and Cultural Studies
11:20am - 12:30pm TBA Program Advice Sessions (breakout rooms)
12:30pm - 1:00pm Lunch Break (Aroma and the Cafe are open on Campus)
12:30pm - 2:00pm Kaf (A-Building) Choosing your sub-major
Information about the different sub-majors and minors or professional specialisations on offer for students to study as part of their program plan.

Orientation Day (Wednesday 22 February 2012)

Orientation Day is scheduled the week before classes commence and is a fun day that will see you learn more about your program, meet other students and attend some workshops to help begin your journey at University.

10:15am - 11:00am D1-20   Experiencing Success at Uni
 This session prepares you for what to expect in the first few weeks and beyond, provides strategies for successful study and managing your workload through the academic year.
11:00am - 12:00pm TBA Program Activity (breakout rooms)
12:00pm - 2:00pm Grass area outside Murray House Lunch
Campus Tour/Passport Activity/Fun and Games!
2:00pm - 3:00pm D1-20

Balancing study, life and everything
Tips on achieving a good balance between study and other commitments such as work, family, and social life, plus how to access support at uni if stress, personal or health issues start to impact on your studies.
