Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics
The Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CIAM) incorporates seven special research groups:
- Applied and Industrial Mathematics
- Applied Statistics
- Environmental Mathematics
- Financial Mathematics
- Mathematical Analysis, Dynamical Systems and Optimisation
- Phenomics and Bioinformatics
- Scheduling and Control
Each group provides focus for specialist mathematical research and consulting in particular fields of industrial and applied mathematics. A common theme across all groups is an emphasis on mathematical and computer modelling techniques.
