Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics
The Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CIAM) is part of the Institute for Sustainable Systems and Technologies and incorporates seven special research groups:
- Advice Research Consulting Collaborative Statistics
- Applied Mathematics
- Applied Statistics
- Environmental Modelling
- Operations Research
- Scheduling and Control
- Singular Perturbations and System Analysis
Each group provides focus for specialist mathematical research and consulting in particular fields of industrial and applied mathematics. A common theme across all groups is an emphasis on mathematical and computer modelling techniques.
