Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics
The Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CIAM) incorporates four special research themes:
- Applied Analysis and Optimisation
- Financial Mathematics and Risk Management
- Mathematical Modelling
- Stochastic and Deterministic Systems
Each group provides focus for specialist mathematical research and consulting in particular fields of industrial and applied mathematics. A common theme across all groups is an emphasis on mathematical and computer modelling techniques.
