Botanic gardens

Adelaide Botanic GardensThe Gardens are the most visited cultural tourist attraction in Adelaide, with over one million visitors annually, yet until recently has had limited quality information about its visitor profile and their perceptions of service quality.

CERM PI researchers commenced 12 month projects with the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, to provide baseline profiles of adult and children visitors (8 to 12 years), their perceptions of service quality and the role and purpose these institutions serve within their communities.

This project was in line with the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between CERM PI and the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.

The next phase of this project was 'measuring visitors to the Adelaide Botanic Gardens'. The aim of the survey was to determine the percentage of visitors who are 'walking through' the Garden and not 'visiting' the Garden.
