What do I need to do before the graduation ceremony?
Return to: Campus Central FAQ Home > Graduation
Outstanding debts
All monies owed to the University, including overdue student loans and
library fines, must be paid before we can complete you in your degree. To
ensure you make it into the next ceremonies, please ensure outstanding
amounts are paid at least seven weeks before graduation.
Please telephone Campus Central to discuss any outstanding debts. For library fines, please contact the library.
Register
After you have been completed on our database, you will receive an
email to your student email account from the Graduations Office inviting you to
register for your graduation. All registration is online through myGraduation.
To access myGraduation:
- login to myUniSA
- navigate to my Academic Record
- select Graduations
- Select Go to myGraduation
Name details
As the parchment you receive is a legal document, it is important that your name
is spelt correctly and in the correct order (as it appears on your passport,
birth certificate or marriage certificate). Once your parchment has been issued, it
cannot be reissued with a name change at a later date. You will be able to check you name
via myParchment within the myGraduation
website. You can also access myParchment from within myUniSA at anytime
throughout your studies. If you find a mistake on your parchment, enter the
correction online. In some cases, Campus Central will contact you to provide
documentary evidence before processing the changes.
Academic dress hire
All graduands participating in the ceremony are required to wear
academic
dress appropriate for the award they are receiving. As most graduands do not
have their own academic dress, the University provides a hiring service at a
cost of $45.00 (including GST), you can book the hire through the
myGraduation
website. The fee will show as an invoice on
myUniSA approximately 30 working
days before your Graduation Ceremony. Prompt payment of
this fee will ensure your academic dress is available at graduation. You collect
your gown at the venue on the day of the ceremony.
