In January, 2008, Division Executive decided to conduct a review of the Business core, with the following aims and objectives:
- to define the purpose of the core, taking into consideration the requirements of STEP 2010, EQUIS accreditation issues and the nature of the student body
- to benchmark against other institutions nationally and internationally
- taking the above into consideration, to identify the key knowledge and skill outcomes of the core as a whole
- to identify the most appropriate organization of content to achieve these outcomes.
To this end Division Executive has established a Core Review Committee, and a Core Review Reference Group. The Core Review Committee will provide advice to the Core Review Reference Group which will make the final decision concerning the structure and content of the core. The membership and terms of reference of these groups are described below.
Core Review Reference Group
This group is chaired by the PVC Professor Gerry Griffin and comprises all members of BUE Division Executive and Tania Kanellos, Coordinator Academic Services.
Division Executive
Division Executive consists of Heads of Schools, the Deans: Teaching & Learning, International and Research, the Division Manager, and is chaired by PVC Gerry Griffin.
