Division research funding (internal schemes)

The Division of Business seeks to give academic colleagues the opportunity to participate actively in basic, strategic and applied research.  The Division's research grants provide funds to enable experienced, early-career and emerging researchers to engage in curiosity-driven research, as well as to develop projects which may have the potential to attract significant external funding.

The Division of Business runs rounds of grants. Application dates for 2010 are:

Round 1:  February 26th

Round 2:  August 6th

Grant categories will be:

Grant Rounds Grant Category Guidelines and Application Form
1 & 2 Small Research Grants $3,000 - $15,000

Seed Funding Grants for New Projects  OR  Early Career  OR  Emerging Researchers - up to $3,000

To submit a Division Small Research Grant in the next round, you need to have it read by a member of your School Reading Group and also refer to the Dean of Research's professional development webpages.

Reporting Requirements

A condition of the award is that a final report (.doc 53.5 kb) must be completed and submitted thirteen months after the grant has been awarded. 

The final report (.doc 53.5 kb) is a formal mechanism used to document the outcomes of the project against the objectives specified within the project application. The first named Chief Investigator completes and submits the progress report using the Progress Report Template (.doc 44.5 kb)  The report will document exactly what you did with the funding, what the money spent on, the achieved results, how the results related to the original aims and objectives, problems encountered and publication outputs.

When completed, the final report (.doc 53.5 kb) should be submitted to:
