International applicants
The Honours program is open for applications from International residents looking to move to South Australia for further study. The University of South Australia welcomes students from different countries and promotes a culturally diverse university experience.
How to apply
To apply for Honours in the Division of Business, you will need to lodge your application with the University's International Office and apply through the online system ApplyOnline.
You can access ApplyOnline at: http://www.unisa.edu.au/applyonline/
Once you have applied through ApplyOnline, you will need to submit the following documents to the International Office of the University of South Australia:
- An application letter, addressed to the Program Director, Dr. Manjit Monga.
- Certified copy of all of your grades and academic transcripts (please provide translations if in a language other than English)
- Certified copy of all of your grades and academic transcripts for the courses for which you may have received credit for prior learning (please provide translations if in a language other than English)
- If you have not studied your undergraduate degree at an Australian University or at a university where teaching is in English language, you will need a current and valid IELTS (or equivalent) score of at least 6.5
- A copy of your current resume/curriculum vitae
- Any other supporting documents to the claims made in your application
Your application letter should include the following:
- Why you wish to study Honours
- What your educational and work background is
- Your broad area of research interest
- You do not heed a supervisor to apply to do Honours. The determination of who is your supervisor is made by the Honours Program Director

English language requirements
Applicants for the Honours program must have a minimum English language proficiency of at least 6.5 in reading and writing (IELTS). The program is taught in English and requires a good ability to interpret and apply academic concepts appropriately. For more information see the entry requirements section of the university website.
As the Honours thesis requires a high level of written ability students meeting the minimum entry requirements may also benefit from attending English writing courses. For a list of the courses available see the Research Support Workshop details.
Program fees
For International students, not on scholarship, the Honours program is full-fee paying. In 2010, the program fees are AU$19,920 per year.
International students studying the Honours program complete the program in one year, full-time to fulfil visa study requirements.
