Entry requirements

Students entering the program are high achievers and committed to excellence. They will have an undergraduate qualification or equivalent in the discipline area in which Honours will be studied. For example, if you have a degree in biology this would not be considered appropriate for further study in applied finance. This ensures that students have good background knowledge and awareness of broad issues and methods in the discipline in which they will do Honours.

Applicants are selected based on merit in their undergraduate degree - normally, a minimum GPA of 5.0 (credit average). Consideration will be given to courses in the area in which Honours will be studied, student suitability, and also supervisor availability.

As part of the selection process, other research or relevant workplace experience, previous education, and other academic work (e.g., working papers, publications) will also be considered in support of your application.

For International Students there are some further requirements.

If you are not sure of your eligibility, please contact us and we can talk with you about your options.
