Postgraduate Orientation Program (Study Period 7, 2009)

Orientation activities introduce you to campus life, to people, to new ways of teaching and learning and to the multitude of resources and support available at the University of South Australia. Your Orientation activities are outlined below.

Accommodation: Finding it and traps to avoid (*)

  • Knowing your rights and responsibilities as a tenant in South Australia
  • How to find suitable housing

School of Commerce Orientation Lunch

  • Meet your Program Director and fellow students and find out about important information relating to your program

  • Incorporates Introduction to library services

  • Levels of meaning in reading
  • Reading critically

Lunch with Business Mates

  • Meet your Business Mate - opportunity to ask questions about uni from current students
  • Icebreaker games with other new students
New Student Lounge, opposite post office

Part time work and career preparation and Student rights (*)

(*) Sessions are compulsory for international students and optional for domestic students

Venues were correct at time of publishing but please observe any room changes that may result on the day from larger numbers of students attending sessions. Any room changes will be clearly marked on the venue door.
