'The practical component of UniSA's Marketing degree attracted me, particularly the Marketing Planning Project. The opportunity to learn more than just curriculum is one of the best things about UniSA. There is a strong focus on practical learning which is greatly encouraged by academic staff. I was given many opportunities to apply what we learnt in class to the real world, before I had even graduated. Apart from the university-supported overseas exchanges, I completed some voluntary work experience in a promotional marketing company after meeting the manager at a UniSA networking function. Probably the most valuable thing I got from studying marketing at UniSA was the courage to start my own business.'
