International Memberships

The Division is a member of several international organisations that are dedicated to improving the standard of business and management education, and promoting the contribution of business to a sustainable society.

 

European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)

The EFMD is based in Brussels, Belgium. With more than 650 member organisations from academia, business, public service and consultancy in 75 countries, it provides a international forum for information, research, networking and debate on innovation and best practice in management development. The EFMD runs the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), an internationally recognised system of quality assessment for business schools. The Division of Business is EQUIS accredited.

Asia Pacific Academy of Business in Society (APABIS)

The Division is a founding member of the Asia Pacific Academy of Business in Society (APABIS). The Academy provides a platform from which business, non-government organisations, academia, governments and other organisational networks can work collaboratively toward the understanding and establishment of a sustainable role for business in societies of the Asia Pacific region.

Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS)

The AAPBS was established to provide leadership and representation in order to advance the quality of business and management education in the Asia-Pacific Region. The Association fosters collaboration in research and teaching, and works to improve business school standards and quality.

Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)

The Division of Business is a member of AACSB International - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB International is a membership association of educational institutions, businesses, and not-for-profit and government organizations devoted to the advancement of higher education in business administration and management. Membership does not imply accreditation.


 

Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow (ABEST21)

The School of Management, Division of Business, is a ABEST21 member. Membership to ABEST21 is awarded to those business schools striving to provide the best quality business education.

ABEST21 was established as a non-profit organization to promote the mission and goals in 2005. The mission of ABEST21 is to advance education in business schools on a global basis by encouraging the mutual beneficial cooperation among its member institutions. ABEST21 envisions a global Knowledge Network of business schools dedicated to the sharing of knowledge and skills, the development and application of new technologies, and the advancement of management theory and practices.
