There are five temporary accounts created for short term visitors (4 week duration), one for each School (Management, Commerce, Marketing and Graduate School of Business), and one for the Business Division Office. These accounts are disabled when not in use.
To activate these accounts please log a IT Helpdesk request and include the following information:
The user's name, organisation and contacts
Liaison person in the School or in the Division
Arrival date and Finish date
What other resources need to be accessed, e.g. Printer queues, shares etc.
Requests that do no provide all the required information will be returned to the relevant School IT Liaison Officer for their attention.
Please be aware that the end user must be made familiar with the "Use of University Information Technology Facilities" policy before using an UniSA account. For more details please refer to http://www.unisa.edu.au/policies/policies/corporate/C22.asp
Once the email has been received, BUE-IT will enable the account and reply back with the relevant logon details.
Please Note:
These accounts will not have University email associated with them, and Internet usage will be charged back to the school
Accounts will only be activated for a period of 4 weeks
These accounts cannot log on over weekends or between 10pm to 7am (set by ISTS, can be changed if necessary)
UniSA network has firewall protection. Some special Internet access (such as FTP, video conferencing) are blocked on the majority of computers
Visitors may use a wireless connection on their individual laptops to access our network and the Internet and will not require these accounts. Details on configuring a wireless connection can be found at http://www.unisa.edu.au/ists/GettingConnected/Userguides.asp
BUE-IT will assist with simple IT queries or issues but we do not provide support to complex IT issues on non-plated laptops
