Saving Internet Favourites to a file

You can export your Favourites file from within Internet Explorer. Start Internet Explorer and choose File, Import and Export.

Follow the Wizard to export your Favourites. You will need to specify the current location, as well as where you want to store the resulting file. U:\\ drive would be a good place to put it.

Follow the steps of the wizard clicking Next as you go.

The Wizard creates an .htm file, which can then be Imported into Internet Explorer when you have your new PC.

Click on Finish to export the file to the network.

To Import your favorites back into your web browser, use the Import Favorites function, instead of Export, and select the file you exported earlier.
