This is the process for connecting to your work computer and logging on to it as if you were actually at work. If you are required to run programs that are not installed on your home computer such as Finance One or Medici then you will need to remotely access your work computer.

My blue plate number is: |
Windows RDP is installed by default in Windows XP/Vista operating system.
To run RDP select Start, All Programs, Accessories, then select Remote Desktop Connection (it may be also under the communications folder).

When the Remote Desktop Connection windows opens type in the blueplate of the computer you wish to remotely control with your ORG code prefix and the following extension ie rgy123456.cw.unisa.edu.au (or rgy123456.ml.unisa.edu.au; rch123456.ml.unisa.edu.au etc)
You will need to log onto the computer as you would normally when you are at your desk with your username and password. You will know that you are on your work computer by the small RDP bar at the top of your screen which shows the name of the work computer you are connected to. When you have finished your work on the work computer, press the X in the top right hand of the RDP bar to disconnect.
Make sure you disconnect the CISCO client as well to disconnect from the UniSA network.
