Networked printers
- Connect to a printer in the Division of Business, Chancellery, LTU, PIP, AS or Research
- Connect to a printer in UniLife or SAS
Connect to a printer - Division of Business, Chancellery, PIP, AS, LTU or Research
- To connect to a printer in one of the areas below click on the appropriate link:
- This will open a new browser showing the list of printers - similar to the screen below
- Scroll through the selection of printers (at the bottom of the list just click on 'Next 100 printers') until you find the printer you require
- Once you've found the name of the printer you need to connect to, click on its name and you will see the printer page similar to the screen below
- Select Connect from the Printer actions column on the left hand side of the screen.
- The printer will connect and you will be given the option of opening the printer window as shown below
- Follow the link to open the printer window. If you want the printer to be the default select the printer and right click, then select Set as default printer from the popout menu
Connect to a printer in UniLife or SAS
- From the Start menu select Run
- Type in the path to the appropriate server
- \\sas-prod.cw.unisa.edu.au\
- \\unilifesrv.cw.unisa.edu.au\
- Select the required printer from the list displayed in the browser window.
- Right click on the printer and then choose Connect from the popout menu as shown below
- To see the installed printers click on Printers and faxes in the left hand side of the browser window (shown below) or choose Printers and faxes from the Start menu
- This will show a list of installed printers. Select the printer you want to be the default, right click, then select Set as default printer from the popout menu.
