Perhaps the one thing that has proven the most valuable to me to date is the exposure I gained to so many parts of business, that is, the computing skills combined with accounting and management have given me a grounding that is different to everyone I work with. This has also created a role for me in being a link (or interface) between IT and business. In my role as an analyst, it is important that I understand as much about the business and its environment as I do about the systems it uses and how they work. I believe the BIS program gave me that grounding.
