Chair of Business Information Management
With the State Library of South Australia as one of the industry
sponsors of the Business Information Management programs, Heather Brown has been
assigned as the Library's Project Officer to support the new program by
developing, delivering and coordinating units in Preservation and allied
fields.
Heather is formerly Preservation Manager of the State Library, and is
also currently Assistant Director of Paper in Artlab Australia, one of
Australias major conservation organisations. With a broad background in
librarianship and vocational education, she has taught in the university
and TAFE sectors in aspects of librarianship and preservation for over
twenty years. She has developed and delivered preservation courses and
training workshops within Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and has a
strong interest in preservation issues within Asia - particularly India.
Heather is responsible for the unit Preservation Principles and has also
helped to develop the digital preservation component of the unit
Archival Management and Digital preservation.
