The Chair, Business Information Management
Professor Paula Swatman
was appointed for a limited term as the
inaugural State Records of SA/Fuji Xerox/State Library of SA Chair of
Business Information Management.
This term has been completed after two years and Paula Swatman,
Professor of Information Systems and Co-Director of the
Information Systems Research
Laboratory (InSyL), has recently taken on a new role.
Paula will be spearheading the
Digital Economy
Initiative for the School of CIS, with the aim of developing key
capabilities to enable Australian businesses increase their share of
emerging global markets.
The next phase of implementing the BIM/LIM Programs will be in the capable hands
of Dr Simon Shurville who joined UniSA in November 2007 as a Senior Lecturer
in the School of CIS.
Simon's expertise can only bring another
dimension to the programs and add to the brilliant
work already completed by Professor Paula Swatman and her team of experts.
Simon has been appointed as the Course Coordinator for the courses in
Knowledge Management for both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
due to the recent retirement of Associate Professor Carole Alcock.
