Chair of Business Information Management
Im Alan Smith, the Director of the State Library of South Australia.
I have been particularly interested in supporting the Business
Information Management course because I believe as do the rest of my
colleagues that the State Library and indeed at libraries throughout
Australia that theres a great need for a course that brings together
all the various strands of information management, record management,
knowledge management. All those areas that up until now have been
treated quite separately often with completely separate training courses
that we believe that our need for libraries of the 21st Century needs to
bring all of those areas together.
