Chair of Business Information Management
My name is Paula Swatman and I am the State Records of South
Australia, Fuji Xerox, State Library of South Australia Professor of
Business Information Management.
The Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Business
Information Management programs are designed to cater for a range of
interests. We see them really as falling into to four major
streams. One of these is Corporate Information Management and that
includes three Graduate Certificate programs in Business Change;
Knowledge Management and Enterprise-wide Services. There is a very
specialised stream in Preservation and Archival Management. Then
there's another group of streams in Records Management which includes
three subsidiary streams at the Graduate Certificate level in EDRMS
(that is Electronic Document and Record Management Systems); in Records
Management (Information Management) and in Records Management (Systems
Management) which is perhaps a slightly more technical focus. Then
finally there is the stream in Library and Information Management which
is again a very specialised qualification.
