My name is Warren McCann, I am the Chief Executive for the Department
of Premier and Cabinet and State Records is a part of my departments.
Modern government is based upon the management of information. No matter
what field of endeavour you work in as a public servant you need access,
quick access, to reliable data, and the thing is, this is getting more
important as we struggle to cope with the mass of information that
global technology makes available to us everyday and the most successful
departments in the future will be those who learn to manage information
