Graduate Certificate in Business Information Management (Library Management)

SATAC Code - 4GC018

The Graduate Certificate requires the completion of 4 courses or 18 units of study as shown below. 

 Notes

  1. A student who successfully completes this program will be eligible to apply for entry into the Graduate Diploma of Library and Information Management and be awarded these four courses towards the Graduate Diploma.
  2. Students who have completed the TAFE award of the Diploma of Library and Information Services will need to contact Moira Lawler regarding articulation arrangements into the program.

Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Management

SATAC Code - 4GD045

The Graduate Diploma requires the completion of 8 courses or 36 units of study as shown below.

The Teacher Librarianship specialisation requires the completion of 8 courses or 36 units of study as shown below. 

 Notes

  1. Students who have successfully completed the Graduate Certificate in Business Information (Library Management) will be awarded the four courses towards the Graduate Diploma thus leaving four courses to undertake to complete the Graduate Diploma.
  2. Students who are not employed within a library environment will be required to undertake 6 weeks of industry experience, this can be discussed further by contacting Moira Lawler.
  3. The Teacher Librarian qualification requires students to enrol in LIBR 5013 (Reading for Leisure and Learning) and undertake (INFS 5067) IM Project within a School environment.
  4. If students intend to undertake the ICT Masters Project 1 and 2, or Master Computing Minor Thesis 1 and 2, they will need to undertake CIS Research Methods in the Graduate Diploma level.
  5. If you have completed part or all of the MMIN or MGIN programs from the Magill Campus please contact Moira Lawler before enrolling in your program of study.

Master of Library and Information Management

SATAC Code - 4CM047

The Masters program requires the completion of 12 courses or 54 units of study as shown below.

 Notes

  1. If students intend to undertake the ICT Masters Project 1 and 2, or Master Computing Minor Thesis 1 and 2, they will need to undertake CIS Research Methods.
  2. Students who are not employed within a library environment will be required to undertake 6 weeks of industry experience, this can be discussed further by contacting Moira Lawler.
  3. If you have completed part or all of the MMIN or MGIN programs from the Magill Campus please contact Moira Lawler before enrolling in your program of study.
  4. Please note that the Thesis is not a computing thesis, the title denotes the school that it belongs to.
  5. Students who successfully complete the Masters program may be eligible to apply for the
    Doctorate of IT Management if you meet the entry requirements. (conditions apply)
