Graduate Diploma in Business Information Management (DGBF)
The management of a more complex governance framework along with
ever-changing organisational cultural and customer requirements is driving
the need to apply more sophisticated technological solutions to manage the
increasing amount of digitally born information created and received within
businesses.
Executives are gaining an increased awareness that they need
Information Management professionals that have a much broader skill and
knowledge base, in particular:

people management and governance, as well as

traditional IT skills and knowledge

The entire program has been
developed with extensive industry input and
support with a number of the specialist courses being developed specifically for this program by industry
experts.
The public sector prescribes the type and number of
roles, required remuneration levels, in tandem with desired tertiary
qualifications, knowledge and experience, for all information and records
management roles in government. As a result, there are substantial career
pathways being developed within organisations.
UniSA is responding to this evolution in career pathways for information and
records
management professionals by the development of the Graduate
Diploma program. The program consists of three
specialisations and will build on the knowledge and tangible skills
developed in the Graduate Certificate of Business Information Management program.
Enterprise Content and Knowledge Management
Preservation and Archival Management
Records Management
Successful completion of any of these specialisations will provide the opportunity to graduate or to continue into the Master of Business Information Management and receive credit for the courses undertaken.
