Research at the Barbara Hardy Centre is conducted by groups of key, affiliate, and adjunct researchers. A committed and active Advisory Board has helped to shape the structure and strategic directions of the Centre. Ongoing research opportunities and collaborations are strengthened by a Management Committee comprised of Centre researchers and personnel from affiliated external organisations.

Centre Director
Chris Daniels
Professor of Urban Ecology
UniSA, School of Natural and Built Environments
Chris Daniels is in the School of Natural and Built Environments at UniSA. Chris was educated at the University of Adelaide and the University of New England. He has held academic positions at the University of California and Flinders University before moving to the University of Adelaide and now UniSA. He is married with 2 children and lives in Belair.
Chris has been a prolific scientist and author, having edited 4 books and contributed to more than 150 scientific publications. He has been published on issues regarding the natural and built environments, and has an abiding interest in reptiles, particularly lizards. Chris is also an award-winning science communicator. He has regular sessions on 891 ABC Radio, and writes for the Advertiser newspaper on a range of science and environmental topics.
