Parafield AirportThe UniSA Aviation Academy is located approximately 13 km north of the City of Adelaide at the Parafield Airport, adjacent to the Mawson Lakes campus.

The flying training is undertaken at the UniSA Aviation Academy which is equipped with modern lecture and briefing rooms, the academy has electronic links with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority's information service, enabling students to submit flight plans and access the latest aerodrome alerts and weather forecasts.

The School of Electrical and Information Engineering at the Mawson Lakes campus, coordinates the Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Aviation) and operates the UniSA Aviation Academy, making it unique in Australia.

The Mawson Lakes campus houses most of the University's scientific and engineering schools within the Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment.

The Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Aviation) program takes advantage of the expertise of staff from the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, School of Advanced Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering and the School of Mathematics and Statistics.
