On March 12th the Centenary of Canberra Creative Director, Robyn Archer, launched the event's new branding. AGIdeas International Design Forum
Design Institute of Australia (DIA) Australasian Student Design Awards 2010
Twenty-five Australian and New Zealand tertiary institutes nominated their top three students who reflect design excellence and adopt innovative Sustainable Design principles in each of the nine discipline categories.
Visual Communication Design Honours student Aaron Harvey was awarded first prize in the Visual Design category. Aaron's winning design was the 'DIY Poster Pack' using interactivity and re-use to promote the importance of recycling to creative industries.
Southern Cross Package Design Awards 2010
A national packaging competition aimed at tertiary students studying design at Universities, TAFE's and Private Colleges. Students are provided with briefs, developed by the sponsors, and required to produce innovative solutions to packaging design.

International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD) Student Assessment Scheme
The ISTD establishes and maintains typographic standards within professional design and education communities. In 2010 Visual Communication Design student Tim Mason was the first South Australian design student to be awarded membership of the ISTD as a result of his Honours project submission to the ISTD Student Assessment Scheme.
