Simone LeAmon Australian artist-designer is a creative force blurring the lines between artistic and commercial design. Recognised for developing conceptually rich perimeters for design and one off exhibition works Simone's designs are wonderfully evocative, reinstating the role of storytelling through process and material. In recent years Simone has developed designs for lighting, furniture, interiors, graphics, motorcycle apparel, fashion and jewellery. Simone's inclusion in the 2OO7 publication &Fork by Phaidon Press, UK identified her as one of the world's most exciting up-and-coming designers. In 2OO9 Simone was the recipient of one of the most coveted accolades in Australian design, the Cecily and Colin Rigg Contemporary Design Award for design excellence in seating, presented by the National Gallery of Victoria.
