In line with international practice, UniSA changed some of its academic terminology in 2001: program replaced course, course replaced subject, unit replaced (credit) point. Glossary of university terms

The South Australian School of Art offers undergraduate degrees with the greatest diversity of media areas available in any tertiary art institution in the state, at a time when many tertiary art institutions throughout Australia have reduced the range of studio options they are able to offer. Students not only have the opportunity to specialise in a particular area (see Studio specialisations) but are also able to include courses from a wide range offered within the School as part of their award.
