In residence schemes
The South Australian School of Art, in partnership with other organisations, provides students and staff access to an innovative and stimulating environment through residencies.
Professor Yin Xiaofeng
Professor Yin Xiaofeng is an artist and academic from North East Normal University Changchun, Jilin, and is one of China's most highly regarded artists. Professor Yin is currently involved in a four-week studio residency in the Sculpture and Installation Studio at the South Australian School of Art.

Australian Learning and Teaching Council 2008 Citations for
Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning
Dr Pamela Zeplin: For
excellence in leadership in visual arts education, with particular reference to
intercultural and socially engaged student learning.

Chancellor's Award
for Community Engagement
These awards recognise and value initiatives
undertaken by University staff and students, in partnership with communities,
which promote the social, environmental, economic and cultural development of
communities.
Dr Amanda Robins, Studio Head of Painting and Drawing, won the inaugural House of Phillips Fine Art Drawing Prize. The prize, which attracted over 160 entries from all over Australia, is worth $10,000 and was judged by Sydney-based painter Aida Tomescu.
Program Director Greg Donovan undertook an international residency at the College of Fine Art, Fujian Normal University, Fuzhou, China in late 2007, which included a peer reviewed exhibition of his recent artwork Distant Image along with a lecture and seminar master class. The launch of a bilingual catalogue/monograph of his work coincided with the opening. Dr Kathleen Connellan wrote the accompanying essay and Doreen Donovan designed the publication. Selected artworks will return to Adelaide for his exhibition As if--- distant image at Prospect Gallery in February 2008.
