Urban design
The theory and practice of Urban Design is a key area in teaching and research within the Architecture Program. Urban design is undertaken at both undergraduate and research levels with a particular emphasis in post-industrial and neo-information technology conditions for urbanity and suburbia, and East Asian urban development. The Program is developing to offer Urban Design as a minor stream in undergraduate learning through relationships with other Schools such as UniSA’s School of Geoinformatics and Planning. Postgraduate research projects in development planning, housing and landscape architecture complement theory and practice teaching in urban design.
