Development of a Model to Predict the Tracking Performance of Cultivators and Chisel Ploughs.
Tracking performance is the measure of a tillage implements ability
to operate while remaining aligned with the tractor. Poor tracking
performance can result in reduced yields because of an incomplete weed
kill, hence crops will compete with weeds for moisture and nutrients. The
ability to predict the tracking performance of tillage implements would
allow designers and manufacturers to have confidence in new designs of
tillage implements before prototypes are produced and resources have
been committed to a particular design.
