Recent Achievements
From April 3 to 17, 2008, Dr Jack Desbiolles visited the Hamelmalo Agricultural College (Keren, Eritrea) as part of a DAFF funded International Development project in collaboration with Rural Solutions SA. Activities included contributions to a 6 day awareness and training workshop on no-till seeding systems and sustainable farming. Plans for a 3-5 year research and training based collaborative programme in no-till farming are being developed.
Congratulations to Dr Chris Saunders who was recently awarded the Douglas Bomford Trust Paper Award for 2008. The award was for his 2007 paper, co-authored with Dick Godwin and Michael O'Dogherty, entitled 'A force prediction model for mouldboard ploughs incorporating the effects of soil characteristic properties, plough geometric factors and ploughing speed'. This award is given to the author or authors of a paper published in the IArgE Journals demonstrating originality and technical excellence, potential for practical use and demonstration of the author's authority in the subject material in addition to other criteria.

Publications
ARMDC has produced a large number of technical information papers (technical
briefs), conference papers and reports.
Effective from 2006 AMRDC joined with other research centres to form the
Institute for Sustainable Systems and Technologies. All subsequent
publications are listed on the
Institute website.
