ISST - Agricultural Machinery Research and Design

VineyardsWelcome to the uniquely Australian one stop complete mechanical engineering research and design centre.

ISST - Agricultural Machinery Research and Design (AMRDC) evolved out of a need in the industry for quality research and development into the engineering aspects of agriculture and the processes of adding of value to agricultural products. Consequently staff  at AMRDC hail from practical farming and manufacturing backgrounds combined with advanced academic qualifications. This understanding of the engineering needs of farmers and the agricultural industry together with the Centre's comprehensive knowledge of world-wide practices, ensures AMRDC is able to help customers through all stages of machinery development - from basic research and design through to the construction and evaluation of prototype equipment.

AMRDC is a recognised leader in tillage research and development. Strong industry links have been developed with companies on a national and international level. We are well placed to assist organisations to obtain financial support for research activities and several schemes of a collaborative nature with industry are currently in place.

AMRDC further offers excellent opportunities for postgraduate research degree students in all aspects of agricultural machinery research and design.

ISST - Agricultural Machinery Research and Design is an integral part of the University's flagship Institute of Sustainable Systems and Technologies (ISST), click here to obtain an up-to-date listing of events and workshops or visit the website of the Institute for Sustainable Systems and Technologies.
