- Abstract: This research aims to optimise the demand management process (or other supply chain process) within a supply by using an adaption of Design for six sigma and fuzzy logic. The role of the demand management process is to balance the customers’ requirements with the capabilities of the supply chain. In a manufacturing setting this includes forecasting demand and synchronizing it with production, procurement, and distribution capabilities.
