Vibration Analysis of Mechanical Structures via Substructuring Technique

  3. Abstract: Substructuring techniques to analyse complex structures has been around for a long time. However the aim of this project is rather different: to use finite element methods to analyse each substructure then develop some mathematical methods to convert each substructure into a single element with limited number of nodes at its borders to couple with the adjacent substructures to achieve dynamic parameters of the whole structure. Thus the whole structure will be modeled with a limited number of large elements.
