Intelligent Optimisation of Mechanical Structure

- Abstract: Artificial Intelligence has had wide applications in discrete systems but narrowly used in continuous systems such as structures. The aim of this project is to model mechanical structures into apparently discrete elements via well known finite element methods and then apply Artificial Intelligence to optimize the structure. Some preliminary work has already been done in this area in the school.
