Monish BhindiMonish Bhindi

Monish arrived from Fiji in 1985 to finish his schooling and study for a Bachelor of Applied Science. He extended his studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering, Civil and Water from UniSA in 1999.

Prior to this he worked as a design engineer with Adrail, followed by a position of design drafter and engineer with KBR where he was fortunate to have the opportunity to work on high profile projects, such as the Formula 1 racetrack and the Darwin-Alice Springs rail bid, where he was able to gain valuable experience. Urban design and mining projects were also a major part of his portfolio, and included projects such as the Mawson Lakes and Blackwood Park projects.

After joining Maunsell Australia Pty Ltd, Monish concentrated on marketing, where his multiple skills were soon recognised with a promotion to Principal Engineer, where he manages the Civil group of 19 staff and is responsible for Urban Development projects.

Monish believes the key to success within his industry is building relationships. The fact that he has worked productively on a wide range of tasks and in more than one capacity, contributes to his philosophy of networking and recognising other people's high level of skill in their field.
