These accommodation options are generally unfurnished. As they operate on a not-for-profit or subsidised basis, availability is quite limited. Early applications are advised.

SA Student Housing Association
The South Australian Student Housing Association offers a limited number of city and suburban government subsidised housing for eligible students (and their dependants). Students must be Australian citizens or permanent residents. Apply for subsidised housing.
Priority is given to:
- students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- students with disabilities (Wheelchair access available in a small number of homes).
- indigenous students, rural or isolated students
- students from low income households
- students who may be at risk of homelessness or are disadvantaged in the private rental sector.
The Association also offers students affordable accommodation such as:
- Metro Apartments: budget priced accommodation in suburban locations close to public transport. Lease terms very flexible.

Housing SA Student Housing Program
This program has been tailored to meet the varied housing needs of students by providing suitable, single and share housing close to public transport, shops and other community services.
Lutheran Community Housing Support Unit
Lutheran Community Housing has a large range of accommodation options for
students. A limited number of
affordable apartments and units are
available in the City CBD, as well as Somerton Park, St Marys, Salisbury and Ingle
Farm.
Country students are encouraged to apply.
