Strategic alliances
In this age of globalisation, collaboration and strategic alliances are
essential to success. It is important that these alliances transcend state
and national boundaries.
The University of South Australia has developed strong alliances and collaborative working relationships with a range of organisations, education providers and agencies, both domestically and internationally.
Internationally, UniSA is a member of:
- IDP Education Australia: an independent not-for-profit global organisation and world leader in international education and development services.
- International Strategic Technology Alliance (ISTA): ISTA invited the Australian Technology Network (ATN), of which UniSA is a member, to join their international alliance in 2005. Of the 22 education institutions that form ISTA, only three are located outside of China. The ISTA collaboration will foster international relationships in applied research and development, technology and product and technology commercialisation.
- DeAN: an association fostering and promoting cultural exchange between German and Australian academic institutions.
In Australia, UniSA is a member of:
- ATN (Australian Technology Network): a powerful coalition of five leading Australian universities across the country which share a heritage of working with industry and a united vision for the future.
- Universities Australia: the council of Australia's universities advances higher education through voluntary, cooperative and coordinated action.
- Open Universities Australia: an organisation delivering distance education programs to people throughout Australia using a variety of media.
- Study Adelaide: a partnership between the South Australian government and Adelaides major educational institutions providing free and reliable information on education options for international students.
- South Australian Vice Chancellors Committee: a long-standing collaboration between the three South Australian universities in research management to ensure South Australia competes effectively in the national and international arenas.
- UNAP (UniSA Northern Adelaide Partnerships): a partnership with government, industry, community groups and education providers designed to help people from all age groups and backgrounds participate in higher and further education. The program identifies mutual areas of interest and potential, establishes important networks and relationships across partner groups to improve coordination of programs, seeks funding and prepares applications for government grants or industry sponsorships.
