Connecting with People is an internationally recognised, evidence-based suicide and self-harm mitigation and prevention training program. Developed in the UK in 2010, Connecting with People is built on the philosophy that suicide is preventable with the appropriate tools, knowledge and confidence skills. 

Participants will receive evidence based training in suicide risk mitigation, self-harm assessment, and safety planning.  Also developing knowledge and skills in responses to self-harm, mitigation and assessment. 

Training program consists of seven, two-hour modules and can be delivered depending on individual organisation requirements.

Participants who complete the training and fulfil all the necessary requirements may be eligible to apply for credentialing with Connecting with People (UK). Further information regarding this is provided as participants complete the modules.
