Whyalla campus is South Australia’s largest regional university campus. The campus is situated on a 22-hectare site in the heart of Whyalla’s education and cultural precinct. It represents the major centre of tertiary education in rural and regional South Australia and is the home of UniSA’s Centre For Regional Engagement.

While the majority of students come from the western and northern regions of the State, an increasing number of interstate and overseas students are discovering the benefits of studying in Whyalla.

How to get there

Whyalla is only a short flight from Adelaide, or a four to five-hour drive by car or bus. Up to eight return bus services daily are operated with connections in Adelaide for passengers by Stateliner Coaches.

Academic focus

Whyalla campus has developed programs and expertise that reflect rural and regional Australia. The Centre For Regional Engagement provides expertise in the fields of business and accounting, nursing and rural health, computer and information science, applied statistics, social work, community wellbeing and arid lands technology.

Facilities

The smaller campus lends itself to more personalised classes and closer interaction between students and staff. The campus boasts excellent teaching, study support, research and accommodation facilities. The library is well equipped and provides rapid access to the resources located at other UniSA campuses.

Computing resources are networked to produce a powerful and flexible learning environment for students studying on and off campus. Wireless internet access has been installed, changing the way students can connect and study while on campus.
